COVID 19 update
As NZ is under Level 4 lockdown restrictions ALL Zone and PSW Inter Zone events scheduled during Term 3, 2021 will be unable to be held until this region returns to Level 1 restrictions. This is due to events not being able to comply with MOH social distancing guidelines and exceeding permitted public gathering numbers.
This includes the remaining Zone Swim and PSW Inter Zone Swim meets.
Primary Sport Wellington supports the decisions made by the organising schools for the cancellation of individual Zone Swim meets. Please NB any and all cancellations will be advised directly from the organising school's to the school's within their Zone.

PSW Farewells Alison Lavin
Alison Lavin steps down as Director of Sport for Primary Sport Wellington.
After 14 years as Primary Sport Wellington (PSW) first Director of Sport, Alison has made the decision to resign. Alison has made an invaluable contribution with the provision of school based sport for primary aged children, not only to the then 66 member schools of PSW, but with her desire to see a regional consistency for quality of sporting experience. She has organised many a qualifying-progression event such as inter-zone and regional athletics, swimming, cross country events and was instrumental in starting an inter-provincial cross country event for primary aged children between Wellington and Canterbury.
However Alison has not not just focused on providing quality progression sporting experiences as she has also organised participation based events for the 64 PSW member schools with events such as Football, Netball and the Anne Hare Challenge events.
Alison will be missed by the six PSW Zone Convenors as she has supported many of their events throughout the years, gaining their respect, trust and friendship along the way and on behalf of the PSW Governance Committee and member schools I wish her all the best for her future endeavours.
